Last week I emphasised  the importance of a good breakfast. If we have eggs with bacon or avocado, spinach, mushroom and/or tomato, then lunch isn’t a major issue. What a relief! But around 6 hours after breakfast you might become a bit peckish – you won’t be starving. I suggest having some seeded crackers, avocado, a mix of home made guacamole and sliced cucumber or just farm butter spread onto crackers handy for when this time comes around. Alternatively, you can also enjoy a lovely herbal tea or sparkling water and you will most likely be good to go until dinner.

If you have been very active and need more fuel, then the best is to always make more dinner than usual and reserve a small portion for lunch. If that isn’t an option, then have a nice green based salad with a little fish, chicken or red meat and drizzle with olive oil and apple cider vinegar.
