By now I would hope that we know that this statement was based on bad science and is totally wrong.
Cholesterol is SO crucial to good health that our body absolutely MUST have it to stay healthy! It acts as a very powerful antioxidant, it’s needed by our liver to make bile & it helps protect you AGAINST DEPRESSION. Cholesterol is a valuable substance which REPAIRS tears in our arteries & blood vessels (including those in our heart), is vital for our brain and nervous system to function properly and and helps our body manufacture Vitamin D.  All of our hormones are made from cholesterol too!
The real culprit behind clogged arteries is chronic inflammation in your blood vessels which is a result of a LOW-FAT, HIGH CARB diet rich in Omega 6 fatty acids found mostly in toxic seed oils and processed food. These are the things that you need to be avoiding.
